so just wondering if anybody knows when myspace became an online dating service... cuz i prefer that it stay a place for friends.
No more Chinese men asking me if i want to seek marriage with them and no more guys messaging me every hour because they have nothing better to do. i say to them ---->get off the computer and get a life.

i learned a lot of interesting things. naturally, sitting in the same spot for 5 1/2 hours in the middle of the mall that is to be expected right? not only are three people i knew in high school married (that were and year or two younger than myself), i learned a good friend is paralyzed from the waist down. and not from a car wreck...from her birth control. she will probably be able to walk again, but nothing is certain. umm...crazy. i'm still quite shocked about the whole thing.
so very recently i took a drive down memory lane. i was passing a certain apartment complex that i haven't passed in months cuz i've had no reason to. i decided i would drive in for old times sake. i can't really tell you why i did it. i have no idea why. but it made me realize that i kinda miss the person that used to live there.
i'd like to write about china in here sometime, when i have a couple hours to kill. to sum it up, it is an amazing place with amazing people. more later.

Nihou people! i'm on the other side of the world. you are probably not even awake yet. i am sick of chinese food, and so are the other people with me on this trip. it's worth it though just to be here and spend time with the orphans. they are so adorable. this trip has made be realize that i totally want to adopt a child (or 2) someday. i love all of them.
the first day we spent with the kids we made the top story on the news. the next day we made the front page of the paper. i think we are going to be in the paper again because a reporter was following us with the kids in the park yesterday.
on another note... people are crazy here. i don't see how there are not 30 wrecks a day on these roads, but i haven't seen any. the lines on the road mean nothing and pedestrians do not have the right away....ever. you are special if you have a car and you rule the roads. also, this town has never seen foreigners before so we cause a scene everywhere we go. people crowd around us at stores, on the streets, everywhere. some want to speak to us to practice their english, others yell HELLO! as they pass by in taxis. it is quite funny. it blows my mind that this many people have never seen foreigners before!
eveything is written in chinese on this page so i hope this goes through...

does anybody ever have one of those moments where you realize something that you should have seen all along? something that you could have seen if you had not tried so hard to not see the truth for what it really was?
i just did.
and needless to say, i'm seeing things more clearly now.

work this past week has not been fun. the only other person that works at the lab went out of town for 2 weeks so i had to work 4 10-hour days in a row. the worst part is that it is nearly impossible to get away from there to take breaks. i ended up just leaving the store-that seems to be the only way. i have to do it all over again next week too. ugh.
working in a photolab i get to see all sorts of things: most recently i have seen-
-cruelty to cats by means of underwear on their heads (i hope it was clean) -numerous people sitting on the toilet (this one is quite popular for some reason) -people engaging in activities i'd rather not mention -bachelorette parties involving huge blow up male parts (not to mention a doll as well)
meanwhile other than working i have been getting ready to go to china. i went to the store today and got all kinds of toys to take to the orphanage. i'm trying to prepare myself for this trip because i know it is going to be sad and depressing. i don't think i'll be able to picture what it's going to be like...
i went to an old friend's wedding today...stayed far away from flying objects-they are bad luck.

don't know about anybody else, but it feels about the same. don't really feel like i have graduated college...as weird as it sounds i kinda feel like i'm in high school again.
on another note...i was working today and these teenage girls (18-19?) were in target near the wedding registeries and as they were talking i happened to hear them talking about marriage and stuff. they were saying they were going to college to find a husband, not to get a job and wanted to be married before they were 22 or 23. it took everything i had not to turn to them and tell them that they were dumb. it's pretty dumb to have a certain age you MUST be married by...girls, you will get married when God says you're supposed to so GET OVER IT!
now that i got that out of my system, imma play some mario

a bunch of us just went out for my roommate's 21st bday...she is drunk. tonight i have been reminded of why i don't participate in consuming alcohol in large quantities (or much at all). it's just not my bag...baby.
did i ever mention how much i absolutely LOVE Copeland?
note to reader: i am not drunk nor have i ever been drunk, but the drunk frog is kinda funny so i used him for my mood. hehe.

hey everybody~ so the semester is now underway. i feel way more stressed than i should seeing that i only have class on 3 days of the week. i'm looking forward to graduating in a couple months, even though i'm not sure what i'll be doing. that is probably why i am stressed; that among other things. i really need to chill and realize that my future is completely in God's hands. i mean, i know it is, but i can drive myself crazy thinking about what is going to happen...almost to the point of making myself sick. does anybody else feel that way sometimes?
so my dad is on a cruise right now...to cozymel and mexico. wish i was there. he really deserves it though (he works 12+ hours a day). i hope he is having a blast!
well that's all for now.

Happy New Year everyone! I hope everyone had fun on New Year's Eve partying like crazy people. I know I did...a couple of us watched Anchorman and then the tongue-kissing countdown on Conan for the Central time zone. haha
Who has a New Year's Resolution? Lose weight Be more organized Don't be so messy (I can name a few people that should make this a resolution, but I will refrain from doing so)
Anyways, those resolutions are typical and boring! How about trying something new once a week that you never thought you would do...
I don't really have any resolutions, but I am anxious for what is in store for me this year. This is the year I graduate college, the year I move out completely on my own, the year I hopefully get a new car, the year I...don't even know what could happen...

the weather is pretty nasty outside. of course, it's not cold enough to snow, but all the rain will be frozen on the roads by morning. my manager called me earlier and told me that if i couldn't get out of my driveway to not worry about coming into work in the morning, but she also said to get there as soon as i could. this may sound like a good deal, but let me weigh my options. i could sleep in... but on the negative side, the longer i wait to go in, the more crap there is going to be piled up for me to do. i think i may just go in when i'm supposed to unless my car is covered with ice.
speaking of ice, i went with john and his parents to Ice! at Opryland a couple nights ago and it was awesome. i have no idea how people carve those things out of ice. we went down the slide made out of ice and sat on a carriage made of ice. fun times.

YES! school is finally out. i seriously love being out of school. it is awesomenessly the best! i opened at work today which was crazy busy, but what else is new...that's what sucks about working in a photo lab around christmas time. sometimes you just want to shoot yourself.
tonight a bunch of us went to the opryland hotel to look at all the christmas decorations. i love that place. it would be so cool to stay there overnight sometime, in one of the rooms with a balcony. sometime next week john and i are going to take his parents to see all the ice sculptures and slides. i'm so excited!
i am not tired at all and i am just going on and on about nothing. are you still reading this? what is wrong with you? ;)

just a quick post before i head to bed, i have to work in the morning. bleh. i would just like to say, "thank God for allowing Bush to win this election!" in the news it was stated that moral values are the main reason people voted for Bush...it's nice to see that half of america still has moral values...

my other homework is to write a script for a commercial that will never see the light of day...for Halo Headbands...check em out. www.haloheadbands.com you know you want 1, or 2.

hello friends
School has been in for about a week now and I think I like my classes. Yesterday I had Asian Literature and Film which I found very interesting. We watched a movie called The Road Home, which was a love story... There's a Chinese girl in my class which will make it more interesting cuz she can tell us about the culture. I never put much thought into it before, but Asian people are beautiful...my sister Melina is beautiful. She's tanner than me and she's 10 months old.
My arm still hurts from giving blood a couple days ago...I don't think that's good.
roommates: we are so going to win the door decorating contest!

that i was skydiving and it was the coolest thing ever! Wahoo!! Gotta try that sometime...anyways, John is here now. We found him an apartment and everything so he's all set. If we could only find him some furniture...
I had the worst experience at work a couple weeks ago. I was working on a Friday morning, all the morning tests passed, and I was ready to make some pictures. everything was going smoothly until this lady drops off 4 rolls of film. she wanted prints and cds for all of them. so i do what i always do and stick the film in the machine to be developed. about a minute after i stick in her 4th roll i notice that none of the other ones had come out yet, which they should have. i new something was wrong...i push a button on the machine that tells you how many rolls are in the machine and it says "1" not "4". so i had to call a technician and he told me to open the machine, which would expose all the rolls, and sure enough they were all jammed. one little gear inside the machine broke and caused that. so i called the lady and told her we were having difficulties with the machine blah blah blah...to make a long story short all her rolls got ruined, she's all pissed b/c they were supposedly pics from hawaii. she is only entitled to replacement rolls and processing, not ANOTHER TRIP TO HAWAII SO SHE CAN TAKE MORE PICTURES!! what a moron. and she's telling traget managers that i was mean to her on the phone (so not true) what a female dog...
just thought i would share that cuz it really ticks me off...grrr!
